About Anu Kumar Lazarus
Anu Kumar Lazarus is a London-based doctor and writer.
For over 30 years she has lived and worked in multi-cultural Hackney and is constantly inspired by its population.
Anu trained in various movement styles from a young age including contemporary dance, ashtanga yoga and capoeira. Her primary interest is story telling. She believes that stories hold the key to sharing human needs and ultimately can transcend barriers to shape and heal the wounds and even the scars of our society.
She has written and produced numerous plays and theatre projects. Most recently she has teamed up with Lisa Honan CBE to present a dramatised walking tour in the City of London. A London Lark Rising explores the history of The East India Company in London and will return to our streets for summer 2024.
